Can you comment if this is still an issue for you? Oddly enough when
looking at your dmesg output it shows you are indeed running this newer
2.6.31-12.41 kernel which claims to have failed to install. Also,
examining your DpkgTemrinalLog file I'm not seeing any errors
indications what may have gone wrong.
