The latest patches (evening of 10/09/09) do not fix the wireless
connection on Dell Vostro 1720 w/ Intel 5100 card.

rfkill with switch on:

0: phy0: Wireless LAN
      Soft blocked: no
      Hard blocked: no
1: dell: wifi: Wireless LAN
      Soft blocked: yes
      Hard blocked: yes

rfkill with switch off:

0: phy0: Wireless LAN
      Soft blocked: no
      Hard blocked: yes
1: dell: wifi: Wireless LAN
      Soft blocked: no
      Hard blocked: yes

rfkill unblock all and rfkill unblock wifi have no affect.

On a positive note, the latest update fixed the wireless issue on a Dell
M1530 laptop w/ Intel PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN card.
