I was not able to collect the data from dmesg. inserting and removing
the card did not register with dmesg for me but that is not a big issue.

during the original bug reporting many other parts of the system were
being tested and perhaps affected the operation for that single time.
there was just no evidence of the card in the GUI during the major
hardware testing session.

If the media should be auto-mounting it is not, but it easily mounted
from "places" or mounted manually from the CLI.

I would see no real reason to keep this bug open. Thank you for your
