The boot sequence is very slow in Karmic on an MSI netbook, now I know I
shouldn't expect much from a netbook, but it's still 1.6 GHz and 1 GB
RAM, and if I think that waiting more than 60 secs just to get to the
GDM login is a little too much.
The attached bootchart generated chart should illustrate the problem.
Note: all current upgrades are applied and this is a clean installation
done by using the beta ubuntu cd image, to ensure that this is not an
upgrade issue.
