I assume that you mean that Nautilus fails to give it an icon or
something?

udev seems pretty sure about what it is:

E: ID_VENDOR=Apple
E: ID_VENDOR_ENC=Apple
E: ID_VENDOR_ID=05ac
E: ID_MODEL=iPod
E: ID_MODEL_ENC=iPod
E: ID_MODEL_ID=1301
E: ID_REVISION=0100
E: ID_SERIAL=Apple_iPod_000A27001C9D03DE
E: ID_SERIAL_SHORT=000A27001C9D03DE

** Package changed: udev (Ubuntu) => nautilus (Ubuntu)
