Does Ubuntu 9.04 count as "other Linux distribution"? ;)

As I said, it was properly recognized as music player (i.e. the icon showed in 
computer:// and on desktop is "multimedia-player" and the nautilus 
what-do-you-want-to-do-with-this-media dialog proposes to use Rhythmbox) in 
9.04 (and maybe 8.10, I don't remember now).
Karmic, instead, uses "camera-photo" icon and proposes to open it in F-Spot.

And, yes, it's a MTP device, and libgphoto should recognize it. See here[1]
