I tried to insert a sleep after usplash_svga_setmode() in usplash_svga.c too see if I could get it to stay longer, but I am not sure I am looking at the right place in the code. I can imagine this is just a feature of the BIOS svga functions. Maybe the easiest is to workaround this in grub, by clearing the grub menu before doing any screen mode changes. Although I would guess this is done already...
I could try to step through usplash with remote gdb to spot exactly where this happens, but I am not sure how to fight upstart to permit this. -- grub menu reappears for a subsecond before Ubuntu icon is displayed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448553 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
