Public bug reported:
System hangs in Kubuntu and Ubuntu 9.10 when I use for first time jockey to
enable the Broadcom STA wireless restricted driver (wl module).
Screen turns to black, only mouse pointer is visible and system hangs, capslock
light keeps intermitent and kernel does not response to signals.
After resetting computer, wl module is loaded with no problems during next
boot-up's.
I have never seen this issue in any other distribution in the same
computer installing the "wl" module. Tested with Ubuntu 9.04, Debian
testing and OpenSuse 11.2 with no problems, so I think it is an Ubuntu
Karmic specific issue.
