Binary package hint: apport
There was just a bug, submitted properly against the appropriate package
with apport, that turned out to be caused by the user having a
conflicting binary in his path (installed from the upstream tarball).
He was running /usr/local/bin/hugin when he thought he was running
/usr/bin/hugin from the hugin package.
It would be great if apport checked for such things - for every
executable in the reported package, see if there is one by the same in
the path that's not from the package.
(Does it already verify checksums of the files in the package?)
