I get the 1st screen 'Try Ubuntu, Install, Check Disk etc' and when I select Install the screen goes balnk then flashes the orange background screen for different amounts of time, between half and 2 secs. I left it for 5 mins but had to turn the machine off. The alternate version installed with no problems.
