Steps to reproduce: 1. Run the update manger, 2. Click somewhere outside the window to make it inactive, 3. While inactive click on the "Check" button.
What happens: the auth dialog pops up (in "always on top" mode) without gaining focus while the update manager window gets active. Sounds like a focus race which definitely should be won by the auth dialog.
