Public bug reported:
When plugging in a usb key, it pop ups the choose action window, I choose open
in a new window, then nothing happens,
starting a konsole, df/mount shows the key was not mounted
running pmount /dev/sdb1 manually mounts correctly the key
.xsession-errors shows an interesting message :

the test user has groups :
uid=10281(xxx) gid=20005(xxxx)
groups=20005(xxx),4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),109(lpadmin),111(scanner),20002(users),20014(xxx)
this was seen on at least 2 differents computers , with differents keys, with
different users on Kubuntu Edgy installations. The installation is quite
standard (from live cd), it just has LDAP authentication added.
Other computers with the same parameters does not have this problem (really
curious ...)
