I can confirm that problem. I'm testing right now with karmic beta (desktop), together with an jaunty server. I didn't try yet if this problem doesn't occur without samba, but right know, while I'm using samba, it happens all the time while copying large files (about 1GB or even smaller, I didn't evaluate the size).
