Public bug reported: External microphone works fine, but no internal microphone on my Asus eeePC 1005HA-m. Changing the settings "Input source" in alsamixer doesn't solve the problem.
A few people reported the same problem on the same machine here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/440251. Let me know if I can do something else to help.
