In current releases of Ubuntu there is a standard keymap in place on all
models, where 0xef maps to the 'macro' keycode. So I don't believe this
problem is still present. If you're still seeing this problem in Ubuntu
9.10 beta, please reopen and provide up-to-date information, as the
information in this bug report isn't applicable to 9.10 and won't be
useful in tracking down this bug.
