Failiure ... looks like this solution isn't for Kubuntu probably because
it's a debian linux and Mandriva is a mandrake linux. Well that's just a
guess of course. Or maybe i made a mistake somewhere in the process but
anyway i had to re-installed Kubuntu 9.10 Beta. The rev of the ATI
Catalyst driver is due later this month so i'll wait to see if that will
solve my problem.

Since i'm running a beta i'm not really surprised because such problem
is often seen on alpha and beta OS and from what i've seen this far, ATI
driver and dev OS aren't really the perfect match lol. Of course,
running an old beast (really old) PC isn't really helping me either lol.
Old PC and new OS ... not always a lucky match.

Tx for your efforts guys, even if it didn't work for me it worth a try.
When the new ATI Catalyst driver will be aviable i'll install it and
post the results if i still have problems.
