Thanks, but that isn't anything to do with gnome-session, but rather the
old fast-user-switch-applet. Our gnome-panel has a distro-patch to hide
the session options from the menu when the FUSA is present, and the FUSA
applet hides completely when disabling user switching.

The FUSA has been replaced in Karmic with indicator-session, which
doesn't have this issue
