Binary package hint: usplash
Ubuntu Karmic, latest updates.
When fsck runs during startup, usplash sits at the logo for a long time
before dropping to a console saying:
fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16
/dev/sda6 has been mounted 31 times without being checked, check forced.
It then sits there for several minutes with no output. This is
confusing, unhelpful, and makes the computer appear to have frozen.
usplash should display fsck progress on the screen as it did in Jaunty.
