Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pptp-linux

PPTP config file (/etc/ppp/options.pptp) has line

  refuse-mschap

by default.

This prevents to connect Microsoft VPN's out-of-the box. I think most of
them offer MS-CHAP authentication by default. MacOSX can connect to
these shares, as can Microsoft Windows XP, naturally.

Is there any reason to refuse this?

It *seriously* hinders user experience when trying to get VPN work. I am
very advanced Linux user and it took two hours of reading PPP debug logs
before figuring out the problem.

** Affects: pptp-linux (Ubuntu)
