I have a similar problem. On a Lenovo laptop, I upgraded from 9.4 to 9.10. I was fine between kernels 2.6.24-19 though 2.6.28-15. The last kernel, 2.6.31-10 has prevented me from booting in either recovery or normal mode. Boot stops progressing after displaying crypto disks.
I can access the drive by booting to a live disk. Can I safely remove crypto disks so I can complete the boot process and update to a more recent update? -- [Karmic beta] System hangs at boot while "Starting init crypto disk" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450620 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
