I'll re-iterate what Alexander said... Please re-install Beta, and then upgrade to the latest versions. Then, if you're still having the same problem, run the following command from a terminal:
apport-collect 445550 ...this will add log files and other debugging information that can help us track down the bug. Also, please do this *before* you start removing packages with Synaptics and/or messing around with /etc/network/interfaces. The bug you've reported is against the network-manager package, yet you've told us that you've partially removed network-manager and a few other packages. Wired Ethernet does work for most people running Karmic now, although we are tracking down a problem with upgrade which involves the IPv6 configuration being set to Automatic, instead of Ignore for Wired connections. I would ask that you check this setting ( Edit Connections -> Wired Tab, select interface and click Edit, click IPv6 tab ). -- 9.10(beta) - wired network auto config problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445550 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
