Public bug reported:
My Ubuntu Karmic is unusable at the moment, because there is a ugly and
loud crackling sound everytime I use tabcompletion and there is more
than one result (or similar action), mute all devices doesn't help.
This happend after a big pulseaudio/alsa upgrade a few days ago, it's
set pcspeaker as second device (and reenable powersave=10) in a config
file (don't know which one).
It's also not possible to unload snd-hda-intel after login in, because
pulseaudio blocks the device.
cat /proc/asound/cards

syslog says:

Oct 14 19:04:37 boersencrash pulseaudio[3563]: alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is
a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_hda_intel'. Please report this issue to the ALSA
developers.

And no I can't link to the right package, because launchpad is extrem
slow at the moment and got timeouts when searching package.
