Keep in mind, that I do post this from a 9.04, but the bug appears in 9.10...! I can also add to the other bug reports about this topic, I also hear a high feeeeeep when the sound-device is sleeping. I have an amplifier-card installed on my system - I have no possibility to turn down the volume. I have this clicking and beeping nearly all the time... At least I know where to shutoff this behaviour. :) Greetings!
