I notice the following in your DpkgTerminalLog.txt file:

I believe this may be indicative of a corrupted .deb. Can you try
removing /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-
image-2.6.31-13-generic_2.6.31-13.45_i386.deb and the retry the upgrade?
