I have found something: it seems that it's not being able to set proper brightness, when it is inside the X server, and than it tries and retries.
if I do: printf 100 > /proc/acpi/video/IGD/LCD/brightness it does not work. If I do cat of the file don't see the value that I tried to input. But, if I switch to console (ctrl+alt+Fxx), and I run: printf 100 > /proc/acpi/video/IGD/LCD/brightness then it works. Now I do cat of the file and I have the value that I've put inside. Then I switch back to F7 and everything is ok (until I try to set brightness again). -- screen keeps blinking on X server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451267 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
