Very odd.

Unfortunately since your install worked fine, those logs wont get us any
closer to figuring out what's going wrong, but I'm glad you were able to
install in the end.

If you do run into this problem again and the install completes
successfully, but you still don't have an fstab, reopen this bug or file
a new one.   Attach everything in /var/log/installer if you've already
rebooted into the new install, or run `apport-collect 451001` if you're
still in the live CD.

Be sure to also check to make sure the CD was written properly by using
the "Check CD for defects" option under the CD boot menu.
