Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Ubuntu Version: Feisty
Network Manager: 0.6.4-6ubuntu2

Connection Type: Wired

Summary: Network manager adds an empty /etc/resolv.conf entry when my
router is restarted (DLink DI-624). If I make Network Manager release
and renew (As described below) a correct entry is added to
/etc/resolv.conf

Problem: After router is restarted (Power outtage or restarting due to
configuration changes) Network Manager creates a blank /etc/resolv.conf file.

Temporary fix: Disable networking via the network-manager applet, then
re-enable it. When another DHCP request is sent this time network-
manager adds the correct DNS entry to /etc/resolv.conf

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
