I'm experiencing similar issues. My system has two CD drives. When I insert a disc in /dev/cdrom1 (/dev/cdrom1 -> sr1 -> scd1), Nautilus mounts the disc. When I take that same disc and put it in /dev/cdrom (/dev/cdrom -> sr0 -> scd0), Nautilus will not mount it. I have confirmed that I can manually mount a CD inserted into /dev/cdrom.
daly <34#> mount -v /media/cdrom0 mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only /dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom0 type iso9660 (ro,nosuid,nodev,utf8,user=daly) Also noticed after I issue the above command, I see it in the Computer - File Browser, but it has its own icon (cdrom0). Not sure where to look from here... -- Unable to mount or read CD drive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362639 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
