Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Sound playback in audacity is jittery and garbled (chunks of audio are
repeated and others missed) when using pulseaudio via ALSA for playback
in audacity. This makes the application almost entirely unusable.
(Tried reporting via apport/ubuntu-bug, but it tries to upload a huge
amount of data and blows up.)
