So I'm debating to consider this being a kernel "bug". We've reduced
the verbosity of kernel messages being printed to help with bug 438335.
The remaining issue is really boot speed. The request to insert a
usplash image is beyond the scope of the kernel. Will open a usplash
task for now. It does seem this is a secondary conversation to follow
up bug 438335.
