Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

The network manager icon which shows for an Ethernet connection
(NetworkManager Applet 0.7.996) is almost impossible to see. On a high-
resolution screen, with a relatively narrow panel, it is virtually
invisible. I have attached a screen shot of the upper-left corner of my
screen (this screen is 1024x768) showing this. It is definitely worse on
something like a 1600x1200 screen!
