Sorry if I didn't include enough info, but I'm new to the Ubuntu distro and after ten years of playing with linux, still not an avid user.
Well I upgraded to 9.10 via the update manager and a few command lines on the ubuntu website. All seem fine and figured it completed all it updates. A few days later, I used the update manager, just to see if anything was out dated. And there was a handful ready to be installed. gcalctool was one. That's where this whole thing started. I ended up choosing not to upgrade install gcalctool and pressed on with all the others. I ended up doing that two times due to a restart. Then attempted to update gcalctool. It was a success. The most concerning issue with this, and what I should have included in the initial bug submission is that the update manager did not press on with all the other updates that were downloaded and ready to be installed automatically. Hope this helps & cheers to a great distro. > Date: Fri, 16 Oct 2009 06:23:22 +0000 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Bug 451130] Re: I received this error during the latest update to > 9.10 "Failed to fetch > http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gcalctool/gcalctool_5.28.0-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb > 404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.40 80]" > > >That version doesn't appear to be in the archive.
