Adding an upstream task.
We're going to release a minimally invasive one-liner to fix this in the
web frontend for Karmic.
However, upstream needs to fix this more generally.
I recommend adding something to your upstream release scripts that
comprehensive and consistently does this, as well as hard coding the
version string in as few places as possible.
