sylvain, to help us debug, could you do a couple things:
1. remove your interface from /etc/network/interfaces, and back out your
resolvconf change; reboot
2. At this point what happens? If you click on the applet, do you see
your interface listed under Wired Network?
3. If you do see your interface, could you:
- Right Click on the applet,
- click "Edit Connections"
- select the Wired tab
- select your interface & click Edit
- click the IPv6 tab
"Method" should be set to "Ignore". If it's not, please let us know.
>From your logs, your system definitely sees the Ethernet interface, and
I also see that it detects carrier.
It's hard to tell much more because when you ran ubuntu-bug, you'd
already modified /etc/network/interfaces, so it's hard to tell what
happened after your first update.
