Hi, I have found the problem after havind updated Ubuntu. This means that the colors used by ls have changed. Of course, the programmer that has the task to develop ls cannot know what background colors the user is using. By the same token the user cannot foretell what changes will be made to these colors. Moreover, it could be quite unfriendly to ask users to check all colors used by all programs such as ls before choosing a background!
Therefore, I think that this bug should not be changed, and instead fixed by making programs such as ls, or even better some libraries used by them, choose colors that are different from the backgroud one. -Angelo -- ls -la fails to print directory names https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441142 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
