Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Right now in order to activate my external monitor or projector i have to
click on the Display Settings panel icon.
After that i have to close the Display Settings window that just opened.
Instead there should be a "Detect Monitors" entry above "Configure Display
Settings..."
It would be like the "Detect Monitors" button in the Display Settings.
This way one can just enable monitors that have been used before by
select that one option and be done with it.
