Evan, I downloaded 9.10 Beta on October 13. I'll download another build this evening and try it. I'm a Linux newbie, so I want a little more information. (1) I'm assuming an infinite loop will not occur because debug mode is enabled. (2) Shall I expect to use the pause key if messages fill the screen? Will the application respond to a pause keystroke in the post-install phase? (3) Will I be able to use (shift)-Print Screen? Doug

If so, please boot with the upstart debug option. Select your language at the CD boot menu, then press F6 followed by escape to bring up the kernel command line. Enter --debug just before the -- mark, so the line looks something like "...quiet splash --debug --", then press enter to boot. Take a picture of, or record on paper, the messages that appear at the end of shutdown.
