Private bug reported:

This is likely a duplicate of Bug #359324. Marking as such.

Uploading my results/data because my hardware slightly differs from the
aforementioned bug; also he experienced his problems on Jaunty (9.04)
and I am running Karmic Development Branch (9.10).

What happened:

I started the computer from a cold (hard) boot, after having shut down
(completely/successfully) several hours previous. I booted into Ubuntu
9.10, same kernel as before -- and again to be clear, I was *not*
suspending or resuming from hibernation; this was just a standard boot-
up sequence.

Nothing obvious happened, no errors or problems caught my eye -- but
Apport's "Exclamation Mark Icon" appeared in the notification area and
alerted me that the system believed (incorrectly) that some kind of
suspend/resume failure had occurred, and that this led to a crash
report, apparently. (Attached herein.)

What I expected to happen:

To boot into Ubuntu...without errors...more specifically, to boot (from
a non-standby, non-hibernated state) into my Ubuntu install, without
receiving crash reports about "failures to resume" from a
standby/hibernation that never happened.

Marking as duplicate to Bug #359324.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from
resuming properly.
