Public bug reported:

My wireless connection was very slow, sometimes failing completely. I looked at
the output of "dmesg", and it was filled with these errors:
[ 2640.560033] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2641.396062] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2642.196042] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2643.124033] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2644.856034] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2645.884036] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2647.112035] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).
[ 2648.816033] phy0 -> rt2500pci_set_device_state: Error - Device failed to
enter state 1 (-16).

They filled the whole dmesg buffer.

I ran "rmmod rt2x00pci; modprobe rt2x00pci", and the errors stopped
happening - though the connection is still flaky.
