Ive just upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic. For whatever reason the menus
dir /home/user/.config is owned by root. Now I suspect either the
permissions are wrong for some reason or the Main Menu app needs to be
executed as sudo. However the behavior in System -> Preferences -> Main
Menu is to open as the current user.
I guess the simple workaround is to chown -R user:user
/home/user/.config/menus, however, this is not the ideal fix.
