Hi. Finally i found this bug report! I have exactly the same behaviour here, and was fighting with xorg.conf and nvidia settings, but nothing helped.
Yes, login window position depends on the mouse position, and the mouse position seems to be on second screen at startup as default. If you move the mouse to the primary screen as soon as you see X starting, the login window position is ok. Any chances to have this corrected?
