I'm afraid I no longer have a Jaunty system available to show you how
they were before, so let me try to explain what I'm talking about.

In previous releases of Ubuntu, we made what was considered a big step
forward in terms of the Open Office icon usability. Specifically, the
icons associated with the various app components (as seen in the
Applications->Office menu) and the icons associated with the files of a
given type (as seen in Nautilus) not only matched, but were also colour-
coded. Specifically, they were coloured to match the primary colour of
the analogous WIndows icon. I don't have either Jaunty or Windows
available right now, so I may not have this right, but I think it was
something like the .odp files and then Open Office word icon being
primarily blue, spreadsheets being primarily red, presentations
primarily orange, etc. This provides strong visual continuity,
particularly for Windows converts, and historically has helped new users
understand that they have the same functionality available in Open
Office that they are used to in MS Windows. The icons certainly weren't
identical to the MS ones, but sharing a colour scheme was very valuable.

If you look at the relevant icons from the Human theme, I think you'll
see what I mean. I'll also try to find a Jaunty system to get a
screenshot.

The Open Office icons (apps and file types) in the humanity theme have
reverted to all being very similar (shades of grey and orange), I think
this is a case where we've taken a step backwards in terms of usability.
I wonder if the original Open Office/file type icons from the Human
theme should replace the current ones in the Humanity theme?
