Hi thanks for responding. This is worse than I had thought. I am on a different machine so I am now able to type unincombered! I tried to respond a few minutes ago and my key board does not respond correctly. I had a flashing mouse arrow. When I booted up this AM I turned on rhythmbox and it seemed to work well. I was streaming WRTU (University of Puerto Rico). I then turned on Firefox browser and tried to look for possible response on launchpad to the bug report. I managed to get to your response and then Rhythmbox switched stations and then the keyboard problem started. This is what was happening when I filed the report - after came out "ater" in the title. After that I tried several reboots turning off rhythmbox, and writing with it off.
This morning, after the station drop I tried then to work off line in open office to compose a response but still experienced the flashing mouse arrow and unresponsive keyboard. So it was like the computer was infected. I am not sure what you mean by reproducible, as this after a complete shut down reproduces in the ubuntu/linux machine. Rhythmbox after playing awhile drops the streamed station and then at times will switch to a different station or will just shut off or will crash - the machine not even allowing me to log out. I must then do a manual reboot. Everything gets shut down including Internet connection. I believe this problem started yesterday afternoon, I tried to listen to a stream from radio Honduras (radio Globo): http://www.radiohonduras.com (stream) http://www.radioglobohonduras.com/Radio%20Globo.m3u I had read the prior day that it was back on the air (and was practicing auto censorship) and hasuccessfullyly listened to it. I wanted to play it for a friend who is originally from Honduras... After I attempted that stream rhythmbox just started to have a mind of it's own although last night for a long period of time (several hours it worked fine but towards 00.00hr it went crazy again). Earlier, the message that someone was possibly eavesdroppingng was well, strange. I have never seen anything like that before. Spying with a bug? I really do not want to be spending hours trying to correct this mess. On the bright side I think I may have found a possible solution to my on going screen ratio problem. But will hold off on that until this is resolved. I hope this info works for you. Please ask more questions if necessary.
