No there isn't. FF starts java_vm and then goes into a cycle of just reading from a filedescriptor:
[pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) [pid 27716] read(58, 0xbf9ad500, 4) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) Of course FF needs killing at this point. Exact same pages will work just fine with Epiphany, so Java does not seem to be at fault here. -- Firefox 3.5.2 freezes when accessing the Java plug-in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/414389 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
