Public bug reported:
When testing Karmic RC, I found out that my laptop's PC speaker makes a
_very_ loud and annoying beep on some actions, for instance when I press
<backspace> in the browser's address bar or terminal although there is
no character in this line yet.
This didn't happen with Ubuntu 9.04.
I couldn't find any option in the settings to disable this. I can use
alsamixer to mute the "Beep" channel, but it doesn't get saved, so after
the next boot this annoying sound is enabled again.
