Binary package hint: gdm
GDM doesn't fades in, when in fusion-icon compiz is activated.(In
fusion-icon it's just selected, compiz is running, and effects are
turned on. But I think, GDM uses the fusion-icon's information if compiz
is activated.) When metacity is the window manager, GDM's login effect
works properly.
