Loic, there are two items left to reach parity. One is to not install the regular kernel, which, as you suggest, isn't a big deal. The other is to properly identify the kernel version in ubiquity, so that the /vmlinuz and /initrd symlinks get created. I have fixes for both of these that I've successfully tested. I'm just running through one more test install.
