Hello, 10x for your reply! I actually tried that, as well as several other snd models, and none of it worked on my machine with the version of ALSA supplied with 9.10. Maybe there are differences between all those CQ61 models which are bigger than just the amount of memory, processor, etc.
Anyway upgrading to the latest version of ALSA with the same configuration solved the problem. Thanks again for the reply!
