Yeah, Kile works without Dolphin and Konqueror, that is why it recommends but not depends them ;)
Anyway. From the arch forums thread you linked to this sounds more like a general problem with mimetypes being all screwy as soon as another app than Nautilus declares mimetype handling on x-directory/*. Therefore I am moving this bug to Nautilus for further processing. IMHO Nautilus should always be default unless the user himself changes it to something else. In KDE there is a special property for desktop files, so that some app would always be default unless overridden by the user. Possibly there is something similar for GNOME? ** Package changed: kile (Ubuntu) => nautilus (Ubuntu) -- Kile installes Konqueror and Dolphin as recommended dependency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452079 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
