Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-generic

~/ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

linux-image-generic: 2.6.31-14.48

After attempting to resume from either suspend or hibernate everything
starts fine except for the network driver crashing in the kernel. I will
attach the dmesg from when this happened. This is a crash, but I'm not
sure if this is a security problem (security is a very broad word, if it
is, please CC them as necessary). My computer is fairly useless
afterwards, especially if I had NFS up.

** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
